Statement
My paintings are based on sketches, photos and memory;
places, events, and life. Music provides the additional dimension.
The music is used to let different emotions and feelings arise. I then tune into this as I paint. The result is a sense of movement in my work.
“I hear, I feel, I paint.”
Music opens up different parts of our personality. As an artist I am no different, and am confident to reflect this with variation in my style.
“Meaningful abstraction” is sometimes used to describe my paintings. My art embraces the audio and visual waves of energy that are present in our everyday lives. The art produced is the output at the end of each audio journey.
The art is not the music or the journey; it is the visual experience resulting from the mixture of the two.
Each artwork contains aspects to resonate with the viewer.
